Editing
Specifically: British English written by non-native speakers, mainly for German and Finnish natives
Fields: Primarily marketing/website texts and academic papers for a range of sectors.
Tools: Microsoft Word using tracked changes where possible. I'm happy to refer to any relevant style guides.
Experience: Besides self-editing my own translation work, I have also spent years proofreading colleagues' work on behalf of a local translation office. From my studies, work and having now lived in Germany for 17+ years in total, I'm extremely familiar with how German native speakers write in English. I also have a deep understanding of how Finnish speakers use English thanks to my Finnish partner and the connection we share with friends and family in Finland.

Business English
I recently launched the English training collective Fluency Foundry, which takes a slightly different approach to Business English training. I focus first and foremost on conversational confidence, which is more important now than ever before considering the increased use of AI tools for written tasks, which is, in turn, diminishing active English usage. Take a look at the Fluency Foundry website for more information about our training concept.
